Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Global Technology Centre (GTC) seeks a highly experienced Lead BIM Architect / Architectural Revit User for a 12-month contract. You will supervise CAD/BIM technicians, manage BIM work packages, and coordinate with structural, MEP, landscape and interior teams.

You will drive BIM standards, content development, clash detection, and model validation, mentoring junior staff while delivering high-quality architectural BIM deliverables.

Overview

Your Role

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead BIM Architect / Architectural Revit User (Contract role - 1 yr)
• Technically supervising Architectural CAD/BIM Technicians and Modelers.
• Managing architectural BIM work packages with minimal supervision.
• Coordinating architectural models with Structural, MEP, Landscape, and Interior Design disciplines.

Technical Competencies

• Responsible for completion of assigned architectural BIM tasks and deliverables.
• Capable of independently producing and managing Architectural Revit models in coordination with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong working experience in architectural design documentation, construction drawings, and BIM workflows.
• Ability to independently develop General Arrangement Drawings, Plans, Elevations, Sections, Schedules, and Detailed Architectural Drawings.
• Proficient in Revit Family creation, template management, and BIM content development.
• Experienced in BIM coordination, clash detection, and model validation using Autodesk Navisworks and related platforms.
• Working knowledge of international architectural standards, codes, and project requirements.
• Ability to perform model reviews and quality assurance checks in accordance with project BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
• Experience in extracting quantities, schedules, and documentation directly from BIM models.
• Capable of mentoring team members in BIM best practices, standards, and workflows.

• Competent to check and review the work of Architectural BIM Modelers and Technicians.
• Able to assign, monitor, and review modeling and documentation tasks.
• Demonstrates sound knowledge of architectural drafting, BIM procedures, and project standards.
• Developing an understanding of the commercial and contractual aspects of project delivery.
• An effective and reliable team member able to apply technical knowledge on complex projects.
• Responsible for completing specifically assigned tasks within agreed time and cost parameters.

• Able to make sound technical judgments related to BIM modeling and architectural documentation.
• Familiar with planning, budgeting, and scheduling of BIM production activities.
• Strong understanding of interdisciplinary coordination requirements and information exchange processes.
• Knows how to use a wide range of BIM software, visualization tools, and related technologies.
• Ensures that models and drawings issued comply with agreed BIM and CAD standards and client requirements.
• Implements and enforces BIM standards, workflows, and quality procedures.
• Identifies BIM training requirements within the team and advises Team Leaders accordingly.
• Monitors BIM team performance and provides coaching and mentoring where required.
• Supports BIM implementation initiatives and continuous improvement programs across projects.

About You

Qualifications

8+ years of advanced BIM and Architectural Revit experience on building and infrastructure projects. Extensive experience in model coordination, BIM standards implementation, project documentation, clash management, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Experience interfacing with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients. Demonstrated leadership, mentoring abilities, and people management skills. Clear understanding of personal and career development objectives. Should have B. Arch.
