Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Global Technology Centre (GTC) Canada Business is recruiting Highway BIM Designers to support complex civil engineering and multidisciplinary designs on major projects. The Bangalore-based role offers challenging, rewarding work within a global delivery footprint.

You will produce AutoCAD and MicroStation 2D drawings, coordinate with internal teams, and maintain BIM standards using ProjectWise and Autodesk Vault.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering with 4–6 years of highways experience.
• Advanced user in AutoCAD, Civil3D and Bentley MicroStation (2–3+ years).
• Experience with CAD interfaces and BIM platforms (ProjectWise, Autodesk Vault).
• Strong BIM design, coordination and adherence to standards.

Responsibilities

• Produce AutoCAD and MicroStation 2D drawings and other deliverables.
• Contribute to design development and internal coordination.
• Produce all highways 2D drawings; self-check drawings and models.
• Provide quality control for compliance with company standards and BIM tools.

AtkinsRéalis Global Technology Centre (GTC) Canada Business is looking to appoint a number of Highways BIM Designer’s to support the delivery of complex civil engineering and multidisciplinary designs across a range of major projects.

Your Role

Responsibilities

• Produce AutoCAD and MicroStation 2D drawings and other deliverables.
• Actively contribute to project design development by contributing to internal coordination.
• Produce all types of Highways discipline 2D Drawings and other deliverables. Perform self-assurance of all Highways discipline drawing and model deliverables.
• Provide quality control for compliance to company/project standards of deliverables.
• Maintain a high level of competency of all BIM software tools used at AtkinsRéalis.

About You

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma holder in Civil Engineering with minimum of 4 to 6 years of industry experience, preferably in the Highways Domain.
• Must be an advanced user or expert user in Autodesk AutoCAD, Civil3D, and Bentley MicroStation with a minimum of 2 to 3 years.
• AutoCAD experience must, detailed understanding of the CAD user interface and all its features to perform.
• MicroStation experience must, detailed understanding of the MicroStation user interface and all its features to perform.
• Technical proficiency in the use of the latest common CDE systems: Bentley ProjectWise and Autodesk Vault.
• Must be well versed in best practices for use of Autodesk AutoCAD, and Bentley MicroStation and other industry standard BIM platforms.
• Track record in BIM design and coordination including multidisciplinary projects and ideally demonstrable experience within a Civil Engineering Design environment particularly the Highways domain.
• Technical awareness/knowledge of engineering design issues including awareness of health and safety risks.

• Experience of using written and spoken English within a business environment.
• A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma holder in Civil Engineering with minimum of 4 to 5 years of industry experience, preferably in the Highways Domain.
