Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced BIM Engineer for water infrastructure projects. You will develop structural BIM models in Revit, create reinforcement detailing, and ensure deliverables meet BEP and client requirements.

You will coordinate with civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical teams, perform clash detection, extract drawings and reports, and mentor junior BIM staff. The role supports process improvements and automation with Dynamo/Python.

Qualifications

• 5+ years BIM experience in water projects
• Hands-on Autodesk Revit Structure experience
• Experience creating families, schedules and templates in Revit
• Understanding of water supply and wastewater systems
• BIM workflows and data management

Responsibilities

• Develop structural BIM models for concrete, steel, and composite structures.
• Create reinforcement detailing and structural documentation.
• Develop Revit models for structures, buildings, and plant components related to water infrastructure.
• Ensure BIM deliverables comply with project standards and client requirements.

• Perform clash detection and model coordination, resolving issues with the team.
• Extract drawings, quantities, schedules, and reports from BIM models.
• Support project teams during design reviews and technical discussions.

• Participate in BIM process improvements, automation, and best practice implementation.

We leverage Building Information Modeling (BIM) to enhance collaboration, improve design accuracy, and optimize project delivery across the entire lifecycle—from concept and planning through construction and operation. BIM enables us to integrate civil, structural, and mechanical elements seamlessly, ensuring cost efficiency and reducing risks.

Your Role

• Develop structural BIM models for concrete, steel, and composite structures.

About You

• Minimum 5 years and up to 12 years of relevant BIM experience in Water projects.
• Strong hands-on experience with Autodesk Revit Structure
• Experience in creating families, schedules, and templates in Revit
• Good understanding of Water supply and wastewater systems
• BIM workflows and data management
• Experience working on US / UK / Middle East / International water projects is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative BIM team.
• Knowledge of ACC / ProjectWise, Navisworks, Revizto, and clash detection workflows.
• Exposure to scripting or automation (Dynamo, Python etc.) is a plus.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Attention to detail and quality-focused approach.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
