Job summary

AtkinsRéalis India Private Limited is seeking an experienced BIM Modeller/Engineer for water and wastewater infra projects. You will develop BIM models in Revit and Plant 3D, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and deliver clash-free, standards-compliant drawings and reports.

The role involves mentoring junior staff, driving BIM processes, and supporting design reviews with a focus on accuracy, automation, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent with 5+ years BIM experience in Water/Utilities projects.
• Strong hands-on experience with Autodesk Plant 3D & Revit.
• Exposure to scripting or automation (Dynamo, Lisp, etc.) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop Site Layouts, Piping Layouts, PFDs and P&ID diagrams.
• Create and manage BIM models for water and wastewater treatment plants using Revit and Plant 3D.
• Extract GA drawings, quantities, schedules, and reports from BIM models.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, mechanical and electrical teams; perform clash detection.
• Mentor junior BIM staff and support process improvements.

Job Description Overview We are looking for an experienced BIM Modeller/ Engineer with strong exposure to Water and Wastewater infrastructure projects. The role involves developing, coordinating, and delivering high-quality BIM models using Revit & Plant 3D (for Intelligent P&IDs) supporting multidisciplinary design teams and ensuring compliance with project BIM standards. Our team within Water Business is dedicated to deliver cutting-edge engineering solutions for water infrastructure projects. We specialize in designing and managing complex systems that ensure sustainable water supply, treatment, and distribution. We leverage Building Information Modeling (BIM) to enhance collaboration, improve design accuracy, and optimize project delivery across the entire lifecycle—from concept and planning through construction and operation. BIM enables us to integrate civil, structural, and mechanical elements seamlessly, ensuring cost efficiency and reducing risks.

Your Role

• Develop all basic drawing such as Site Layouts, Piping Layouts, PFDs and Piping & Instrumentation diagrams.
• Develop and manage BIM models for various units of water and wastewater treatment plants using Revit software and Plant 3D for P&IDs.
• Extract Mechanical GA drawings from 3D Models.
• Ensure BIM deliverables comply with project standards, BEP, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical).
• Perform clash detection and model coordination and resolve issues collaboratively.
• Extract drawings, quantities, schedules, and reports from BIM models.
• Support project teams during design reviews and technical discussions.
• Mentor junior BIM staff and provide technical guidance (for senior-level candidates).
• Participate in BIM process improvements, automation, and best practice implementation.

About You

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent technical discipline with 5 years and up to 15 years of relevant BIM experience in Water / Utilities projects.
• Strong hands-on experience with Autodesk Plant 3D & Revit
• Good understanding of Water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Utility coordination and underground services
• BIM workflows and data management
• Experience working on UK / Middle East / International water projects is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative BIM team.
• Knowledge of ACC / ProjectWise, Navisworks, and clash detection workflows.
• Exposure to scripting or automation (Dynamo, Lisp, etc.) is added advantage.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Attention to detail and quality-focused approach.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
