Qualifikationen

• Total 10+ years’ experience with 5+ years in a similar position for Master (Structures), PhD preferred.

• Ability to problem solve in an integrated project delivery environment.

• Lead and manage a team of structural engineers and designers for the NDLS Project, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Collaborate with architects, consultants, and stakeholders to develop conceptual and detailed structural designs.
• Conduct structural analysis and calculations for foundations, columns, beams, slabs, and facades.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize cost and performance.
• Implement QA processes to review, validate, and verify structural designs and documentation; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in design coordination meetings.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for structural integrity and performance.
• Ensure safety training and compliance with health, safety policies across the team.

We are seeking applications for the position of Lead Design Manager (Structures) for New Delhi Railway station redevelopment project based at New Delhi.

Missions/Main Duties

• Lead and manage a team of structural engineers and designers responsible for developing structural designs, drawings, and specifications for the NDLS Project. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the successful execution of design activities.
• Collaborate with architects, consultants, and stakeholders to develop conceptual and detailed structural designs for new construction, renovation, and restoration projects within the NDLS redevelopment scope. Ensure designs adhere to project requirements, budget constraints, and regulatory standards.
• Conduct structural analysis and engineering calculations to assess the performance and stability of building structures, including foundations, columns, beams, slabs, and facades. Ensure designs are optimized for safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Identify opportunities for value engineering and optimization to enhance the cost-effectiveness and performance of structural designs. Explore innovative materials, construction techniques, and design solutions to achieve project objectives while minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency.
• Implement quality assurance processes to review, validate, and verify structural designs and documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations governing structural engineering and construction in India.
• Foster collaboration and coordination with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants, to integrate structural designs seamlessly with other project components. Participate in design coordination meetings and resolve design-related conflicts or issues as they arise.
• Identify potential risks and challenges related to structural design and construction activities. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address structural integrity, stability, and performance concerns proactively.
• Ensure the safety compliances, conduct safety training as per group policy mainly 3S training.
• Ensure every team member must have gone through Business Ethics and compliance training
• Ensure every project member has knowledge of Environment policy of company.
• Ensure each member of team has gone through 9 lifesaving rules
• Everyone had gone through the Anti-Corruption training.
• Instigate and organize information and training sessions dealing with health and safety,
• Organize risk assessment for the workplace
• Ensure and manage fire protection, make arrangements for first aid, evacuate plans, organize and take part in evacuate exercise

Profile/Skills

• Having total 10 plus years experience and Minimum 5 plus years in similar position for Master (Structures) +PhD Preferred - with Specialization in design(Structures).
• Having total 8 plus years experience in similar project
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and respecting differences.
• Ability to problem solve, especially in an integrated project delivery environment, applying industry best practices.
• Ensure compliance of the Systra Group policies, particularly on ethics, safety and adherence to Company ISO 9001 and 14001 Standards.
