Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in India seeks a Hardware Validation Engineer for silicon validation across pre-silicon and post-silicon stages of Automotive MCU products. You will drive validation plans, develop test-cases and automation scripts, and ensure coverage and robustness.

You will collaborate with design, DV, Analog and Firmware teams to debug issues, document results, and help build scalable validation infrastructure using Python and common test tools.

Qualifications

• B.Tech./M.Tech in Electronics or Computer Engineering.
• 7+ years of silicon validation experience in SOCs, mixed signal/digital ICs.
• Hands-on debugging of interfaces (communication peripherals, memory interfaces and system-level validation).
• Expertise with pre-silicon platform, C, script-based test automation (Python) and strong scripting skills.

Hardware Validation Engineer – NXP

NXP is seeking an HW Validation Engineer for silicon validation both pre-silicon and post-silicon validation of Automotive MCU products. You will be responsible for the functional validation and ensuring functionality, performance, stress and stability through comprehensive validation.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

• Validation planning – Drive, Develop and implement detailed validation test-plan and develop validation methodologies/infrastructure to achieve the coverage
• Test development – Develop test-cases, test environment and automation scripts using Python. Use various HW and SW tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, traffic generators and analyzers.
• Collaboration – Work closely with design, DV, Analog and Firmware teams to debug, root-cause and resolve any issues that may arise during validation
• Documentation and reporting – Document test-plans, test results, validation coverage reports.
• Automation – Develop various scripts, web-based tools to automate validation tests as well as collecting reports and diagnostics data

Minimum Required Qualifications

• B.Tech./M.Tech. Electronics/Computer Engineering
• 7+ years of experience in silicon validation and performed roles in SOCs, mixed signal/digital ICs.
