Job summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a Data Scientist–Record to Report to design, develop, and maintain AI-driven solutions supporting R2R processes. The role emphasizes hands-on ML, data engineering, and applied AI, without owning accounting processes or SOX controls.

You will build Python data pipelines, develop ML models or AI agents, and collaborate with Enterprise AI and IT teams to ensure secure, scalable implementations.

Qualifications

General Summary:

About the Role

The Data Scientist – Record to Report will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining AI-driven solutions that support and enhance R2R processes. This role is primarily hands-on and technical, with a strong emphasis on machine learning, data engineering, and applied AI. The role does not own accounting processes, close execution, controls, or SOX responsibilities.

Role Focus

• Data Science, AI & Automation Delivery: ~80%
• Functional Partnership & Solution Enablement: ~20%

Key Responsibilities – AI & Data Science Solution Development

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain AI/ML solutions supporting R2R use cases such as anomaly detection, predictive analytics, and intelligent data validation.
• Develop Python-based data pipelines for ERP and finance data sources.
• Build and maintain ML models, LLM-powered tools, or AI agents augmenting R2R productivity.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, explainable, well-documented, and production-ready.
• Monitor solution performance, data quality, and model drift; continuously improve models post-deployment.

Platform & Integration Partnership

• Partner with Enterprise AI, IT, and Data Platform teams for integration and deployment.
• Ensure solutions align with security, infrastructure, and architectural standards.
• Support solution enhancements, upgrades, and long-term maintainability.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, Engineering, or related field.
• 4–6+ years of hands-on experience in data science, analytics, or machine learning.
• Strong proficiency in Python and common data science libraries.
• Experience building, training, and deploying ML models or AI solutions.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
• 3+ years of Data Science or related work experience.
• Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
