Qualcomm India Private Limited is hiring a senior full-stack software engineer to design and build data applications in the AWS Databricks ecosystem. You will drive end-to-end delivery, mentor teams, and embed GenAI capabilities into workflows.

You should have 12+ years IT experience, strong Java and Python skills, and a track record in scalable, secure architectures with data-centric solutions. This role is based in India and requires onsite work.

General Summary:

We are hiring a Full stack software engineer to design and build Data Applications in AWS Databricks ecosystem. This role is ideal for someone having strong experience in Java and Python based full stack development with system design thinking, along with hands on expertise in building and scaling Agentic AI solutions. The position is responsible for building modern Data centric applications for critical and highly impactful business processes. We are looking for a candidate with deep technical expertise, strong architectural thinking, and the ability to lead the design and end to end delivery of complex Data applications while driving engineering best practices, scalability, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable and distributed Data apps using AWS Databricks platform
• Lead the integration of GenAI and agentic AI technologies to automate the end-to-end life cycle of application development.
• Ensure robust, secure, and maintainable application architecture aligned with enterprise standards.
• Implement strong security, compliance, and governance controls
• Mentor engineers and influence application development standards and best practices

• 12+ years of IT-related work experience in Full stack Application development with a Bachelor's degree.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience in building and designing Data applications using Java, Python, Spring Boot, Angular/ReactJS or similar technologies
• 5+ years of experience designing distributed, event driven, and API first systems with strong reliability and security postures.
• 4+ years of work experience with Data Structures, algorithms, and data stores.
• Strong expertise in the LLM/GenAI ecosystem - orchestration frameworks (e.g., "LangChain"), agentic and graph based workflows (e.g., "LangGraph"), RAG and search patterns, and vector databases
• Solid understanding of SQL, relational database design and NoSQL databases

System Design & Innovation

• Proven experience in designing complex and distributed end-to-end Data applications
• Strong system design skills across Databricks, AWS cloud, data pipelines, storage and governance
• Ability to evaluate and communicate architectural tradeoffs (scalability, reliability, cost, security, operability)
• Demonstrated innovation mindset - Modernizing or simplifying technical process and solution by introducing new architectural patterns, Improving reliability, performance, and user experience

Databricks, Cloud, & DevOps Expertise

• Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, EKS/ECS, IAM, API Gateway, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, SonarQube, and automated testing frameworks.
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks Lakehouse Platform - Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, MLflow

Security & Leadership

• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices
• Experience supporting SOX, GDPR, or regulated environments
• AWS Certified Solution Architect – Associate/Professional (or equivalent experience)
• Ability to work independently and mentor team members
• Strong communication skills to explain complex system designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and the Scrum framework.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of IT-relevant work experience with Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems).
• OR 7+ years of IT-relevant work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.
• 4+ years of work experience with Full-stack Application Development (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.).
• 3+ years of work experience with Data Structures, algorithms, and data stores.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of the general IT-related work experience.

Other cloud certifications (Azure/GCP) Experience with build tools such as Gradle and Maven, and development environments/IDEs such as IntelliJ or Eclipse. Experience with Test‑Driven Development (TDD), system design, technical documentation, test case preparation, and test reviews. Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills for complex production issues. Experience working on or leading small to medium‑sized development teams from project definition through implementation. Ability to initiate and implement process improvements and contribute beyond defined responsibilities
