Job summary

Bristlecone India Limited in India is seeking a seasoned Lead Data Engineer to spearhead the design, development, and optimization of our data ecosystem within the Data Services - Studio department.

You will architect end-to-end pipelines on Snowflake and Databricks, lead a high-performing team, and collaborate with data scientists, analysts and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions while ensuring governance and security.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional data engineering experience.
• Deep Snowflake expertise including performance tuning and security.
• Extensive Databricks experience with Spark and Delta Lake.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python/Scala, and modern data integration tools.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in data engineering.
• Deep expertise in Snowflake (data warehousing, performance tuning, security).
• Extensive hands‑on experience with Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, ML pipelines).
• Proficiency in SQL, Python/Scala, and modern data integration tools.
• Strong background in data modeling, ETL/ELT design, and data pipeline orchestration.
• Experience leading and scaling engineering teams in an Agile environment.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure as code.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, version control (Git), and automated testing frameworks.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
