Job summary

NTT DATA BUSINESS SOLUTIONS in Bengaluru, Karnataka seeks a Lead Data Engineer to drive end-to-end data ingestion initiatives, modernize ETL frameworks, and enable cloud-native analytics on Azure and Snowflake.

You will mentor an offshore team, define delivery roadmaps, ensure code quality, and collaborate with architects and stakeholders to set standards, governance, and operational excellence across data platforms. This role emphasizes SQL, Python, and scalable data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and modernization of data ingestion using ADF and Snowflake, migrating from legacy ETL to cloud-native solutions.
• Mentor offshore data engineers, supervise prioritization, sprint planning, code quality, and operational support.
• Serve as client-facing tech lead, translating requirements into ingestion architectures and roadmaps.
• Define reusable ingestion frameworks with metadata-driven patterns to accelerate onboarding and reduce debt.
• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to set standards, CI/CD, data quality, monitoring, and governance.

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Lead Data Engineer to join our team in Bangalore, Karnataka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and modernization of enterprise data ingestion capabilities using Azure Data Factory and Snowflake, driving the migration from legacy ETL and ingestion frameworks to scalable, cloud-native solutions.
• Manage and mentor an offshore team of data engineers, overseeing work prioritization, sprint planning, code quality, delivery execution, and operational support.
• Serve as the primary client-facing technical lead, translating business requirements into ingestion architectures, engineering roadmaps, and delivery plans while managing stakeholder expectations.
• Define and implement reusable, metadata-driven ingestion frameworks leveraging ADF, Snowflake, and automation patterns to accelerate source onboarding, improve reliability, and reduce technical debt.
• Collaborate with architects, platform engineers, and business stakeholders to establish ingestion standards, orchestration patterns, data quality controls, CI/CD processes, monitoring, lineage, and governance practices.
