Job summary

Amadeus Software Labs India Private Limited seeks a Lead Data Engineer to design, build and optimize cloud-based data platforms in Bengaluru. You will own data pipelines, governance practices, and platform reliability while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will work with Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake and data lake architectures to deliver scalable analytics and AI-enabled insights, driving best practices across projects and teams.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in data engineering and big data technologies.
• Hands-on exposure to Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, and data pipelines.
• Familiarity with Delta Lake architecture (bronze, silver, gold).
• Knowledge of Azure Data Lake Storage, Data Factory, and related services.
• Experience implementing CI/CD for data workflows and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery.

You will contribute technical guidance and help ensure data quality, governance, and performance across projects.

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
• Build and optimize data platforms using Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, and related technologies.
• Implement Delta Lake architectures (bronze, silver, gold layers) and drive best practices.
• Develop and maintain data lakes, warehouses, and modern analytics platforms.
• Apply data governance and security practices using appropriate tools and standards.
• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and enhance platform reliability.
• Participate in technical discussions, share knowledge, and support team learning.
• Contribute to reporting, analytics, and AI initiatives through robust data infrastructure.

Your Profile:

• Substantial experience in data engineering, including big data technologies.
• Hands‑on exposure to Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, and data pipeline frameworks.
• Familiarity with Delta Lake architecture (bronze, silver, gold layers).
• Knowledge of Azure Data Lake Storage, Data Factory, and related services.
• Experience implementing CI/CD for data engineering workflows.
• Understanding of data governance and security concepts.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in distributed data environments.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and problem‑solving mindset.
• Comfortable working in Agile or similar team‑oriented methodologies.
