Job summary

Pearce Services Global (PSG) seeks a Lead Data Analytics – Power BI to spearhead enterprise BI initiatives in Hyderabad. You will design scalable Power BI solutions, define data models, mentor analysts, and translate business needs into insights for decision-making.

The ideal candidate will drive end-to-end BI delivery, ensure data quality, governance, and performance, and collaborate with data engineers to optimize ETL/ELT processes across the organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Data & Analytics with 4+ years hands-on Power BI
• Strong hands-on expertise in Power BI including DAX, Power Query and data modeling
• Experience leading teams of analysts and BI developers
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience in enterprise BI delivery, data governance and security practices

Responsibilities

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Analytics – Power BI professional to lead enterprise business intelligence and reporting initiatives. This role combines hands‑on technical expertise with team leadership and stakeholder engagement.

The ideal candidate will design scalable Power BI solutions, define data models and reporting standards, mentor a team of analysts, and translate complex business requirements into actionable insights that drive decision‑making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & People Management

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data analysts and BI developers, including task prioritization, quality reviews, and skill development.
• Establish best practices for Power BI development, data modeling, and visualization standards.
• Conduct design reviews and ensure adherence to performance, scalability, and governance guidelines.

Power BI & Analytics Delivery

• Own end‑to‑end Power BI solution delivery, including requirement analysis, data modeling, report/dashboard development, testing, and deployment.
• Design and optimize semantic models, star schemas, and calculated measures using DAX.
• Develop interactive dashboards and self‑service BI solutions tailored to executive, operational, and functional audiences.
• Ensure reports and dashboards are optimized for performance, refresh efficiency, and usability.
• Work closely with data engineering teams to design and optimize ETL/ELT processes feeding Power BI datasets.
• Leverage SQL for data extraction, transformation, validation, and performance tuning.
• Participate in data architecture discussions involving data warehouses, data lakes, and analytics platforms.
• Support integration with cloud or on‑prem data platforms as needed.

Stakeholder & Business Collaboration

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather, document, and translate reporting and analytics requirements into technical solutions.
• Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders by providing insights, trends, and recommendations based on data.
• Drive adoption of data‑driven decision‑making across departments.

Data Quality, Governance & Security

• Ensure high standards for data quality, accuracy, validation, and reconciliation in all analytics outputs.
• Implement and maintain data governance, security, and access controls within Power BI.
• Support audit, compliance, and documentation requirements for enterprise reporting.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands‑on expertise in Power BI, including:
  • DAX (advanced calculations, performance optimization)
  • Power Query / M
  • Data modeling and star schema design
• Strong SQL skills with experience querying and optimizing large datasets.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (facts, dimensions, slowly changing dimensions).
• Experience working with large‑scale enterprise data and multiple source systems.
• Proven ability to lead teams and deliver analytics solutions end‑to‑
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain insights to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Preferred / Nice - to - Have Qualifications

• Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Big Query, or similar).
• Exposure to data integration or orchestration tools.
• Experience supporting executive‑level and operational dashboards.
• Power BI, Microsoft, or Data Analytics certifications.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
