Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Lead for Control & Application Software (Power Electronics) to design, develop, and lead embedded control solutions for converters, inverters, EV chargers, and traction drives. The role emphasizes control algorithms, real-time firmware, and system-level integration.

You will lead a team of control and software engineers, drive architecture decisions, and mentor developers while collaborating with hardware and product teams to meet reliability and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 8-12+ years of experience in power electronics control software.
• Strong understanding of control theory and converter topologies.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement control algorithms for DC-DC converters, AC-DC / DC-AC inverters, and motor control.
• Lead embedded firmware development in C/C++ for microcontrollers/DSPs.
• Integrate control software with hardware and perform HIL/SIL testing.
• Provide technical leadership and establish software architecture and coding standards.
• Customize control strategies for EVs, solar/grid inverters, and industrial drives.
• Prepare design specs and ensure IEC/ISO/SPICE compliance.

Lead - Control & Application Software (Power Electronics)We are looking for a highly skilled Control & Application Software Lead to design, develop, and lead embedded control solutions for advanced power electronics Products and systems such as converters, inverters, EV chargers , Traction drive chain, Solar /Grid connected Inverters , PCS ..etcThis role involves control algorithm development, embedded software leadership, and system-level integration, ensuring high performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Control Algorithm DevelopmentDesign and implement control algorithms for:DC-DC convertersAC -DC /DC-AC invertersMotor control (FOC, sensorless control)Product level - Control Architecture developmentDevelop and validate control strategies (PID, state-space, adaptive control, etc.)Perform modeling and simulation using tools like MATLAB/Simulink

Embedded Software DevelopmentLead development of embedded firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers/DSPsImplement real-time control loops, PWM generation, ADC interfacing, and protection logicOptimize code for performance, memory, and real-time constraints

System Integration & TestingIntegrate control software with hardware systemsPerform Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testingDebug and troubleshoot system-level issuesSupport validation, certification, and field testing

Required Qualifications
