Job summary

• Troubleshoot high-level infra incidents and optimize cloud performance and costs.
• Provide technical leadership on GCP infra, balancing Azure expertise.

Summary

We are seeking a Lead Cloud Platform Engineer to spearhead the design, implementation, and stability of our core cloud infrastructure, heavily supporting our flagship Cloud and SaaS products. Sitting within the Cloud Operations team, you will be our primary Google Cloud Platform (GCP) expert, ensuring our infrastructure remains highly available, secure, and scalable. By taking ownership of the infrastructure layer, you will work closely and collaboratively with our entire engineering organization—including Development, QA, and DevOps—to create a seamless, automated, and secure environment for our teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure, acting as the primary driver for our GCP environments for our Cloud and SaaS product lines
• Own the overarching network topology, identity management, and security policies for our cloud footprint
• Write, manage, and deploy enterprise-grade Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with the broader technical team (not just DevOps) to ensure seamless integration between core infrastructure and our GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Troubleshoot complex, high‑level infrastructure incidents and continuously optimize cloud performance and costs
• Act as the technical authority on GCP infrastructure, guiding long‑term modernization efforts and architectural decisions while complementing the team's existing Azure expertise

Skills and Qualifications

• Extensive, hands‑on architectural and engineering expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is an absolute must. (Working knowledge of Azure is a plus, but GCP is the primary focus)
• Advanced proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, specifically Terraform
• Proven experience working with and securing GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Deep understanding of enterprise cloud networking concepts, including VPCs, routing, firewalls, and multi‑cloud transit architectures
• Strong background supporting high‑availability Cloud and SaaS production environments
• Highly collaborative mindset with a proven ability to independently drive technical projects while working closely across multiple engineering and product teams
