Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to drive requirements for a cash management platform. You will gather, document, and translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and data mappings, collaborating with architects, developers, testers, and business stakeholders.

You will define processes, reconciliation rules, and integration requirements, while supporting agile teams and leading requirement workshops to ensure release readiness and defect analysis.

Qualifications

• 10-14 years of overall experience in IT.
• 7+ years as a Business Analyst on complex software or enterprise-platform programs.
• Experience defining requirements for financial, transactional, or integration-heavy systems.
• Skills in writing functional requirements, user stories, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
• Expertise in creating process flows, data mappings, state models, and integration requirements.
• Capability to analyze asynchronous and multi-system business processes.
• Understanding of REST APIs, events, messages, databases, and file-based integrations.
• Experience supporting Agile software-development teams.
• Capability to work directly with business stakeholders, architects, developers, testers, and operations teams.
• Strong analytical, facilitation, documentation, and communication skills.
• Capability to identify gaps, contradictions, and ambiguities in business requirements.

• Define required business identifiers, reference data, statuses, timestamps, and audit information.
• Work with stakeholders to identify authoritative data sources and system ownership.
• Define reconciliation rules, tolerances, exception categories, and resolution workflows.
• Facilitate requirement workshops, manage requirement changes, and support user acceptance testing, release readiness, and defect analysis.
