Job description

Business Systems Analyst

We are looking for a mid‑level Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support our Finance, EPM, and enterprise application initiatives. This resource will work closely with business users, IT teams, and implementation partners to gather and document requirements, facilitate workshops, coordinate testing activities, track project deliverables, and support overall project execution.

Experience with financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and Oracle EPM Cloud solutions (such as Planning, EDMCS, Narrative Reporting, and related modules) would be beneficial. Exposure to Microsoft technologies, including Power BI, Azure, and related data and integration platforms, is also desirable. However, we are primarily looking for someone with strong business analysis, communication, problem‑solving, and coordination skills.

The resource should be comfortable working across multiple teams and departments, helping bridge business and technical discussions, coordinating with Infrastructure, Security, Data, Finance, and other Mazda teams as needed to keep projects moving forward and ensure the successful delivery of business objectives.

Additional Expectations

• Dedicated support during Mazda business hours, with availability for project meetings, workshops, and follow‑up activities. Preferred working hours are aligned with Pacific Time (ideally 6:00 AM–2:00 PM PST, if feasible).
• Ability to proactively drive assigned tasks to completion with minimal supervision.
• Strong ownership and accountability for deliverables, action items, and project documentation.
• Timely follow‑up and communication with business users, IT teams, vendors, and project stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining responsiveness and meeting agreed‑upon deadlines.
• Comfortable working independently while appropriately escalating risks, issues, or blockers.
• Preference for a resource who can provide consistent support throughout the duration of the engagement to minimize knowledge transfer and ramp‑up efforts.
• Experience working in a cross‑functional environment involving Finance, Enterprise Applications, Data, Reporting, Infrastructure, and Security teams is preferred.
