Job summary

Clarivate Plc’s Data & AI Consulting team seeks a Lead Business Analyst to translate complex client needs into clear technical requirements and user stories. You will engage stakeholders, drive discovery workshops, and support Agile delivery across data analytics and AI-enabled projects.

In this senior role, you’ll collaborate with developers, QA, and compliance teams, steer requirements through the SDLC, and help shape GxP validation plans while operating in a hybrid Bangalore environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/biomedical fields.
• Minimum 5 years as Business Analyst in tech consulting/IT services/Life Sciences.
• Translate business problems into clear technical requirements, specs, user stories, and process diagrams.
• Understand SDLC, translate requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria, support testing.
• Exposure to Python for data manipulation.
• Proficient with Jira, Confluence, MS Project.
• Interest in generative AI and LLM tools.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of Healthcare/Life Sciences domain.
• Track record of continuous improvement with trailblazing technologies.
• Agile SCRUM Certification.
• Experience in client-facing consulting and stakeholder management.
• Experience with AWS or Life Sciences platforms (Veeva, Salesforce Health Cloud, Medidata).

Lead Business Analyst We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Data & AI Consulting team. This is a great opportunity to start and grow your career, working on data analytics and AI-enabled projects alongside experienced analysts, consultants, and stakeholders from different departments. Working closely with and learning from fellow team members, you will help gather and document requirements and support the delivery of practical technology solutions for our customer projects.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Business Administration, or a related technical/scientific discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within a technology consulting firm, IT services company, or a Life Sciences/Healthcare organisation.
• Proven expertise in translating complex business problems into clear technical requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and process flow diagrams.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle, including translating requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria and supporting testing.
• Exposure to a programming or scripting language such as Python for data manipulation and simple automation.
• Comfortable using project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project).
• Interest in, or basic awareness of, generative AI and large language model (LLM) tools
• Strong communication & analytical skills.

What will you be doing in this role?

Work with client stakeholders to understand and document user and functional requirements. Conduct discovery workshops with client to prioritize and assess the feasibility of user requirements against Clarivate and customer own data. Work with the delivery team to communicate the client requirements using Agile SCRUM. Collaborate with the Development and QA teams to ensure implemented solution meet quality standards and quality assurance procedures are in place to develop and maintain a full traceability matrix. Support non-technical teams of technical writers and trainers in pre-release, deployment and post-deployment change management activities. Support the development and execution of GxP validation plans in collaboration with customer and our own compliance teams.
