Job summary

Clarivate in Bengaluru is hiring a Business Analyst to join the Data & AI Consulting team. You will gather requirements, translate them into technical specs, and support agile delivery across customer projects.

You will collaborate with stakeholders from multiple departments, use Jira/Confluence, and help ensure traceability, quality and timely delivery of data analytics and AI-enabled solutions.

Hybrid work model with overlap across global teams; location Bangalore, IST working hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, bioinformatics, biotechnology, business administration, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Business Analyst in technology consulting, IT services or Life Sciences/Healthcare.
• Translate complex business problems into clear technical requirements, functional specs, user stories, and process diagrams.
• Understanding of SDLC and translating requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria; support testing.
• Exposure to Python for data manipulation and simple automation.
• Proficient with Jira, Confluence, MS Project.
• Interest in generative AI and LLM tools.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of Healthcare or Life Sciences domain.
• Experience with client-facing consulting and stakeholder management.
• Experience with AWS or Life Sciences platforms (Veeva, Salesforce Health Cloud, Medidata).

Responsibilities

• Work with client stakeholders to understand and document user and functional requirements.
• Conduct discovery workshops with client to prioritize feasibility of requirements against Clarivate data.
• Communicate client requirements to the delivery team using Agile SCRUM.
• Collaborate with Development and QA to ensure quality and maintain a traceability matrix.
• Support non-technical teams of writers and trainers in pre-release, deployment and post-deployment activities.
• Support the development and execution of GxP validation plans with customer and compliance teams.

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Data & AI Consulting team. This is a great opportunity to start and grow your career, working on data analytics and AI-enabled projects alongside experienced analysts, consultants, and stakeholders from different departments. Working closely with and learning from fellow team members, you will help gather and document requirements and support the delivery of practical technology solutions for our customer projects.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Business Administration, or a related technical/scientific discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within a technology consulting firm, IT services company, or a Life Sciences/Healthcare organisation.
• Proven expertise in translating complex business problems into clear technical requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and process flow diagrams.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle, including translating requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria and supporting testing.
• Exposure to a programming or scripting language such as Python for data manipulation and simple automation.
• Comfortable using project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project).
• Interest in, or basic awareness of, generative AI and large language model (LLM) tools
• Strong communication & analytical skills.
• Knowledge of or prior experience with Healthcare or Lifesciences domain.
• Track record of continuous improvement and innovation leveraging trailblazing technologies demonstrated.
• Agile SCRUM Certification.
• Prior experience in a client-facing consulting role, managing stakeholder expectations and navigating complex project deliveries.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS) or specialized Life Sciences platforms (Veeva, Salesforce Health Cloud, or Medidata).

What will you be doing in this role?

• Work with client stakeholders to understand and document user and functional requirements.
• Conduct discovery workshops with client to prioritize and assess the feasibility of user requirements against Clarivate and customer own data.
• Work with the delivery team to communicate the client requirements using Agile SCRUM.
• Collaborate with the Development and QA teams to ensure implemented solution meet quality standards and quality assurance procedures are in place to develop and maintain a full traceability matrix.
• Support non-technical teams of technical writers and trainers in pre-release, deployment and post-deployment change management activities.
• Support the development and execution of GxP validation plans in collaboration with customer and our own compliance teams.
