Job summary

Sigma Earth in Bengaluru invites an experienced BIM modeller to join the USA GCC Water team. You will develop high-quality 3D BIM models using Civil 3D, Revit and Plant 3D, supporting water infrastructure projects with minimal supervision.

You will coordinate with senior design engineers, BIM leads and clients to deliver models on schedule, export 2D sheets and 3D views, and travel to the USA for short-term assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or diploma required.
• Experience with civil, architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings.
• Proven ability to lead modelling tasks and coordinate with clients.
• Strong knowledge of BIM/CADD tools including Revit, Civil 3D, Plant 3D.
• Experience linking Revit files and coordinating across teams.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Work with WSP’s USA GCC Water team based in Bengaluru.
• Develop high-quality 3D BIM models using Civil 3D, Revit, and Plant 3D.
• Handle 3D CAD modelling tasks with minimal supervision.
• Coordinate with senior design engineers, BIM leads, and design teams to gather inputs and prepare models and drawings as per client specifications.
• Convert sketches, architectural drawings, BIM execution plans, and other inputs into layouts, drawings, and models.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, architects, and clients on infrastructure and water-related projects.
• Support BIM modelling and drawing production for WTP and WWTP projects.
• Work effectively in an international project environment.
• Perform other duties aligned with the role and grade level.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Engineering.
• Experience with civil, architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings, including equipment layouts and site plans.
• Experience leading modelling tasks and coordinating with clients to deliver work on schedule and within budget.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit, Civil 3D, Plant 3D, and other BIM/CADD tools.
• Ability to create Revit plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules, templates, title blocks, worksets, families, parameters, and shared models.
• Experience linking multiple Revit files and coordinating work across teams.
• Ability to conduct clash detection using Navisworks and Revit interference checks, including clash report preparation and review.
• Ability to create dynamic blocks with parameters and use different 3D representation styles.
• Ability to export 3D geometry for subcontractors and external agencies.
• Experience producing 2D sheets such as plans, sections, 3D clips, and details from multidisciplinary 3D/4D models.
