Job summary

EXL Health in Chennai is seeking a results-driven Product Owner to own user stories, FSDs, and acceptance criteria, ensuring clear communication between business and engineering.

You will collaborate with Scrum teams for sprint planning, backlogs, and on-time feature delivery, while validating outcomes with QA and business users. Strong documentation and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role within an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and product lifecycle management.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Lead Documentation Efforts: Own the creation and maintenance of detailed documentation including user stories, functional specifications (FSDs), and acceptance criteria.
  • Sprint Planning & Execution: Collaborate with engineering and Scrum teams to plan sprints, prioritize backlogs, and ensure timely delivery of features.
  • Story Management: Write, refine, and manage user stories in the product backlog, ensuring clarity and alignment with business goals.
  • Scrum Team Integration: Act as the voice of the customer within the Scrum team, participating in all agile ceremonies and ensuring continuous alignment between business and technical teams.
  • Validation Leadership: Coordinate with QA and business users to validate features and ensure they meet acceptance criteria and business expectations.
  • Business Translation: Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and engineering, translating complex business needs into clear technical requirements.

Experience

Preferred Experience
