Job summary

AECOM India Global Services Private Limited in Bengaluru (Hybrid) is seeking an experienced Architect to support architectural and design projects for global clients. You will perform calculations, prepare specifications, liaise with design and drafting groups, and help review and approve drawings under the Supervising Architect.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor of Architecture with 6–9 years of experience, with desirability for Middle East/US/UK exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architecture is required.
• 6-9 years of experience in Architecture.
• Middle East/US/UK experience desirable but not essential.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently at times.
• Experience in transport architecture and workplace interiors.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic architectural/engineering calculations.
• Prepare specifications, reports and related data tables.
• Maintain liaison with design and drafting groups.
• Prepare, review, and approve drawings as required.
• Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may independently perform advanced technical assignments within schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and departments on a project.
• Assist in training and evaluation of assigned architectural/design staff.
• Review and approve conceptual designs.
• Assist in developing new architectural methods and techniques.

Job Description

• Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations.
• Preparing specifications, reports and related data tables.
• Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.
• Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required.
• Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may independently perform advanced technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets.
• May coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.
• May assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.
• May review and approve conceptual designs.
• May assist in the development of new architectural methods and techniques.

Qualifications

Here’s what we’re looking for:

• A Bachelor of Architecture is required
• Applicants are required to have between 6-9years of experience in Architecture, Middle East/US/UK experience would be desirable but are not essential.
• Good communication skills, and ability to work well independently at times.
• Able to see the “bigger picture” and take a birds-eye view of projects
• Should have good skills in software like Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation and other related design software
• Should have basic transport architecture experience and should have worked in Workplace interiors.
