Job summary

Crisil is seeking a Lead Analyst to support the Real Assets division of a leading global Private Markets Asset Manager on investment performance workflows. You will conduct detailed returns analyses and prepare comprehensive investor reports, working closely with client teams to ensure accurate calculations.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s in Finance (or CFA/CA), 6–10 years in credit research or real assets, and strong modeling, Excel, and data-management skills, with python/sql knowledge

Qualifications

• Masters/CFA/CA preferred with 6–10 years in credit research, real assets, infrastructure, or project finance.
• Strong financial modeling and valuation technique capabilities required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present complex information clearly.
• Proficient in advanced Excel; familiarity with Bloomberg or similar platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze IRR and MOIC for leased/invested assets like railcar and aircraft leases.
• Perform bottom-up cash flow analysis; reconcile with ABS level cash flows.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports for internal and LP stakeholders.

Seeking a Lead Analyst to support in the Real Assets division of a leading global Private Markets Asset Manager on various investment performance workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Returns Analysis
  • Analyze IRR (Internal Rate of Return) and MOIC (Multiple on Invested Capital) for leased/invested assets like railcar and aircraft leases.
  • Conduct bottom-up analysis, right from individual railcar or aircraft cash flows – both levered and unlevered.
  • Reconcile cash flows from individual leases with the cash flows at a ABS level – both levered and unlevered.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis on lease-level and ABS-level data
• Reporting & Performance Tracking
  • Generate detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual portfolio performance reports for internal stakeholders and external Limited Partners (LPs).
  • Start from individual transactions shared by fund administrator to calculate return by fund and by investor.
  • Generate custom reports for specific investor queries.
  • Create visually appealing charts for investor presentations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional client teams to ensure seamless returns calculations and accurate reporting.
• Database Management: Maintain and enhance internal databases of financial, market, and industry information, for easy analysis.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in finance / CFA / CA.
• 6-10 years of experience in credit research, experience in real assets or infrastructure or project finance will be added advantage.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel functions and other financial analysis software; familiarity with Bloomberg or similar platforms is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Prior experience in managing teams and client, handling service delivery and other stakeholder management activities
• Ability to manage changing priorities and tight deadlines.
• A team player with a proactive attitude and a passion for the finance industry.
• Knowledge of Python or SQL would be a plus.
