Job summary

Eaton’s Global IT team seeks a System Analyst – EDI to drive enterprise digitization and support global B2B EDI customers and suppliers. You will collaborate with SAP, EDI, and IT teams to deliver scalable EDI solutions aligned with architectural standards.

You will lead end-to-end trading partner onboarding, define requirements, and provide L3 support for EDI incidents while ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
• 6 to 12 years of SAP EDI and Sterling B2B Integrator experience.
• Strong understanding of EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT).
• Experience with Sterling B2B Integrator EDI platform.
• Hands-on SAP EDI partner onboarding.
• Working knowledge of JIRA.
• Familiarity with SAP SD module.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work across different product teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead EDI integrations for SAP SD/MM and related processes.
• Decompose epics into features and user stories with the Product Owner.
• Maintain a prioritized backlog and ensure clear requirements.
• Engage stakeholders to propose effective EDI-enabled solutions.
• Support sprints, backlog refinement, and effort estimation.

What you’ll do:

Eaton’s Corporate IT team is seeking a System Analyst – EDI to join our EDI team. This role is pivotal in driving enterprise digitization and supporting our global B2B EDI customers and suppliers across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions.

As part of our product-centric, results-driven IT model, the System Analyst will play a key role in enabling efficient, scalable EDI solutions that align with Eaton’s digital transformation goals. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery, continuous improvement, and alignment with architectural standards.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for EDI integrations involving SAP SD/MM and EDI business processes.
• Partner with the EDI Product Owner to decompose epics into actionable features and user stories aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to maintain a prioritized and well-groomed product backlog, ensuring requirements are clear and ready for development.
• Engage with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges and recommend effective EDI-enabled solutions.
• Support Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and effort estimation for epics, features, technical enablers, and user stories.
• Ensure user stories meet the Definition of Ready (DoR) before entering development.
• Provide Level 3 support for EDI production incidents, performing root cause analysis and driving timely issue resolution.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Supply Chain, SAP functional teams, and IT teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Assess the impact of business process changes on SAP and EDI solutions, ensuring alignment between technical capabilities and business needs.

Skills:

• Bachelors degree in a technical discipline such as: B.E / BTech / MCA / Equivalent or B.Sc
• 6 to 12 years of SAP EDI and Sterling B2B Integrator experience
• Strong understanding of EDI standards (e.g., X12, EDIFACT)
• Expereince working on Sterling B2B Integrator EDI platform
• Hands-on SAP EDI partner onboarding
• Working knowledge of JIRA
• Familiarity with SAP SD module
• Effective verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain and present technical concepts
• Comfortable working directly with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Good judgment, time management, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work colaboratively accross different product teams
