Job summary

IndiGo is seeking a seasoned Staffing and Analytics professional in India for manpower planning and analytics leadership. The role focuses on data-driven forecasting, model refinement, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize crew utilization and scheduling.

The candidate will design automated dashboards monitoring manpower KPIs, OTP, and operations impact, while driving strategic workforce decisions with OCC and analytics teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or related field.
• 5-8 years of manpower/resource planning experience.
• Aviation or large-scale operations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manpower Forecasting: Own end-to-end manpower planning with data-driven short, medium, and long-term forecasting across divisions.
• Continuously refine IndiGo's Manpower Model by validating and optimizing planning inputs.
• Build models and simulations to optimize crew utilization, pairings, and rosters while ensuring operational integrity.
• Conduct scenario analysis to assess business trade-offs and drive strategic workforce decisions.
• Design and automate dashboards to monitor KPIs for manpower, flight operations, delays, and OTP.
• Collaborate with OCC and analytics teams to assess impact on customer experience and resilience.
• Analyze internal and external data to support strategic improvements across departments.
• Prepare management-level reports to track performance against targets.

Job description

Support crew planning & manpower planning teams with daily/weekly/monthly analysis for constructive roster through pre-assignment, published & actual analysis, ownership of standby planning & utilization, maintain robust short term planning variances, own and manage reporting on various KPIs. Work on Automation/SQL/Power BI dashboard/MIS/Analytics (incl. Stats) to improve the function.

Qualifications

Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or related field.

Experience

Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in manpower/resource planning, preferably in aviation or large-scale operations.

Skills & Tools

• Strong command of Power BI, Advanced Excel, Python (Preferred) ; knowledge of other analytical or statistical languages is an advantage.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decision-makers.
• Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities

Manpower Forecasting

• Manpower Forecasting Own the end-to-end manpower planning function, ensuring data-driven short, medium, and long-term forecasting across operational divisions.
• Continuously refine Indigo's Manpower Model by validating and optimizing planning assumptions and inputs.

Analytics-Driven Optimization

• Build and implement advanced models and simulations to optimize crew utilization, pairings, and rosters while maintaining operational integrity and compliance.
• Conduct scenario analysis to assess business trade-offs and drive strategic workforce decisions.

Operational Performance & Reporting

• Design and automate dashboards to monitor KPIs for manpower, flight operations, delays, and on-time performance (OTP).
• Collaborate with OCC and analytics teams to assess the impact of manpower deployment on customer experience and operational resilience.

Data & Business Insights

• Analyze internal and external data (including competitor benchmarks) to support strategic improvements across departments.
• Prepare management-level reports to recommend action plans and track performance against targets.
