Job summary

Trantor IT Industries in Bangalore is seeking a Lead AI Engineer to design, build, and scale production-grade GenAI solutions for enterprise insurance applications. You will work with GenAI, LLMs, AI agents, and intelligent document processing to transform how insurers serve their customers.

The role requires 6–10 years of AI/ML or software engineering experience with hands-on Python and production deployments. Expect collaboration across teams and leadership of AI engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in AI/ML or software engineering with GenAI/LLM exposure.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy production-grade GenAI and LLM-powered applications.
• Build intelligent AI agents with tool calling, multi-step reasoning, and dynamic workflows.
• Develop end-to-end document intelligence solutions—including classification, extraction, and summarization.
• Engineer prompts, structured outputs, evaluation frameworks, and AI guardrails for reliability and compliance.
• Monitor AI system health: quality, latency, token efficiency, and end-to-end performance.
• Leverage Azure AI, Microsoft Foundry, and Azure OpenAI to scale enterprise AI solutions.
• Build scalable backend services using Python, REST APIs, and PostgreSQL.
• Integrate with LangGraph, Microsoft Agent Framework, or Semantic Kernel.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and Git-based workflows.
• Lead AI solutions from prototype to production deployment and ongoing monitoring.
• Mentor junior engineers and define AI engineering standards.

Candidate Profile

• 6–10 years of experience in AI Engineering, ML Engineering, Applied AI, or Software Engineering—with demonstrable GenAI and LLM experience.
• Strong hands-on Python skills and a proven track record of building AI applications for production.
• Deep familiarity with leading foundation models (e.g., OpenAI GPT, Anthropic Claude) and their real-world deployment patterns.
• Experience shipping AI systems at scale, including system design, observability, and performance optimization.
• Sharp analytical thinking and a passion for solving complex technical challenges.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) and how to integrate them effectively into workflows.
• Bonus: Experience in enterprise workflows or the insurance domain—especially around document-heavy, regulated processes.
