Carnation Infotech Pvt Ltd. Hyderabad is seeking an experienced Production Support Engineer (L2/L3) with hands-on expertise in IBM Sterling MFT technologies to support critical enterprise file transfers.

The role requires troubleshooting across Linux/Unix and Windows, driving incident resolution, and contributing to automation and continuous improvement initiatives. Global 24x7 support and ITIL practices are involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in CS/IT or related field required.
• 5-8 years of IT experience; minimum 4+ years supporting MFT platforms in production.
• Strong experience with IBM Sterling ecosystem and file transfer technologies.
• Experience in global 24x7 support environments.
• Knowledge of networking, middleware, and infrastructure concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production support for MFT platforms including IBM Sterling Integrator, Sterling File Gateway, Sterling Secure Proxy, and Connect:Direct.
• Monitor file transfer operations and ensure successful completion of critical business transactions.
• Troubleshoot file transfer failures and connectivity issues (SFTP, FTPS, AS2, HTTPS, Connect:Direct).
• Perform system health checks, certificate renewals, user onboarding/provisioning, and environment maintenance.
• Participate in a 24x7 global production support model.
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve high-priority production incidents; conduct RCA and implement fixes.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, middleware, application, and network teams for issue resolution.
• Ensure SLA targets for incident and problem management; support change, release, and deployment activities.
• Enhance monitoring, alerting, and reporting; drive automation and SOP/runbooks creation.
• Act as liaison between business and IT, communicating incidents and service health.

Role: LEAD ADMINISTRATOR L1

We are looking for an experienced Production Support Engineer with strong expertise in Managed File Transfer (MFT) technologies to support and maintain critical enterprise file transfer services. The ideal candidate will provide L2/L3 production support, drive incident resolution, ensure platform stability, and contribute to automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

The candidate should possess hands-on experience with IBM Sterling Integrator, Sterling File Gateway, Connect:Direct, Sterling Secure Proxy, and IBM HTTP Server, along with strong troubleshooting skills across Linux, Unix, and Windows environments.

Key Responsibilities

Production Support

• Provide L2/L3 support for MFT platforms including IBM Sterling Integrator (SI), Sterling File Gateway (SFG), Sterling Secure Proxy (SSP), and Connect:Direct.
• Monitor file transfer operations and ensure successful completion of critical business transactions.
• Troubleshoot file transfer failures and connectivity issues involving SFTP, FTPS, AS2, HTTPS, and Connect:Direct.
• Perform system health checks, certificate renewals, user onboarding/provisioning, and environment maintenance.
• Participate in a 24x7 global production support model.

Incident & Problem Management

• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve high-priority production incidents.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, middleware, application, and network teams for issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with SLA targets for incident and problem management.
• Support change, release, and deployment activities.

Continuous Improvement

• Enhance monitoring, alerting, and reporting capabilities.
• Recommend and implement performance improvements for high-volume file transfer environments.
• Prepare and maintain SOPs, runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge articles.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
• Participate in service review meetings, audits, and post-incident reviews.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as a liaison between business and IT teams.
• Provide regular communication on incidents, outages, and service health.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
