Job summary

Inchi Solutions is seeking a skilled PCB Design Engineer in Hyderabad to design multilayer PCBs (Rigid, Rigid-Flex) and develop schematics with flat and hierarchical modes. You will define layer stack-ups for high-speed designs, place components, and route nets under constraints while generating complete manufacturing deliverables.

The position requires experience with IPC standards and tools like Altium Designer, Cadence, and CAM350.

Responsibilities

• Design multilayer PCBs (Rigid, Rigid-Flex) per project specs.
• Create footprints per IPC guidelines and ensure manufacturability.
• Develop schematic symbols and drafting in flat and hierarchical modes.
• Define and manage PCB layer stack-ups for high-speed designs.
• Place components and route nets according to constraints.
• Generate BOMs, netlists, Gerber, NC drill, IPC netlists, and ODB++ files.
• Prepare complete manufacturing deliverables and fabrication queries.
• Perform Gerber verification using CAM software (e.g., CAM350).
• Apply EMI/EMC considerations in layout and ensure IPC compliance.
• Coordinate with hardware, mechanical, manufacturing teams and clients.
• Support design reviews and engineering changes; stay updated with tools.

Job description

• 1. Design multilayer Rigid, Rigid-Flex and Flex PCBs.
• 2. Create component footprints according to IPC standards.
• 3. Create schematic symbols and perform schematic drafting.
• 4. Develop schematics in Flat and Hierarchical modes.
• 5. Define and manage PCB layer stack-ups for high-speed designs.
• 6. Perform component placement and routing based on design constraints. 7. Generate BOMs from schematic and PCB layout.
• 8. Generate and verify netlists between schematic and PCB.
• 9. Prepare complete manufacturing deliverables, including: o Gerber files o NC Drill o IPC Netlist o ODB++ o Assembly drawings
• 10. Handle fabrication-related engineering queries.
• 11. Perform Gerber verification using CAM350.
• 12. Apply appropriate EMI/EMC considerations during PCB layout.
• 13. Ensure compliance with relevant PCB layout and IPC standards.
• 14. Coordinate with hardware engineers, mechanical teams, manufacturing teams and clients.
• 15. Support design reviews, engineering changes and production/fabrication queries.
• 16. Stay updated with the latest PCB design methodologies, Altium/Cadence updates and emerging technologies.
