Job summary

Maersk in India is seeking a Landside Operations Manager to lead and optimize landside transportation activities, including truck and rail movements, ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-efficient operations.

You will coordinate with internal teams, transport providers, and customers to maintain service levels, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement across logistics processes. A strong background in logistics and 8–10 years of related experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• 8–10+ years of landside transportation, logistics, or freight operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of truck and rail processes and best practices.
• Understanding of transportation regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute landside transportation operations involving truck and rail movements.
• Monitor daily activities to ensure timely and cost-effective cargo movement.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and safety standards.
• Identify and resolve operational issues to minimize service disruptions.
• Coordinate with internal departments, providers, terminals, customers for seamless execution.
• Analyze data and recommend improvements to boost efficiency and service quality.
• Maintain accurate records and support process optimization initiatives.
• Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to junior team members.
