QIMA India is seeking a qualified Textile Testing Lab Technician to implement ISO/IEC 17025 compliant tests and manage testing activities in our textile lab in Tiruppur.

You will perform colour fastness, flammability and fiber content tests, maintain equipment, support audits, and ensure timely sample testing while upholding quality standards and safety guidelines. You’ll collaborate with senior staff, participate in capability development, and communicate clearly in English.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering, or Diploma in Textiles.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements; Textile Testing training preferred.
• Able to conduct tests for Colour Fastness, Flammability, Fiber Content, and selected tests in the Physical Department.
• 2–3 years in a textile testing laboratory; experience with Accreditation Body Audits is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills, accurate typing, and general computer proficiency.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Strong technical knowledge, analytical mindset, and logical thinking.

Responsabilidades

• Troubleshoot problems that arise during testing, seeking help from the manager if necessary;
• Involve in testing capability development under supervision of senior staff;
• Maintain the operation of each testing team;
• Complete the PT/ILC samples on time without any outliers
• Complete the regular samples testing on time and maintain the TAT
• Involved in the selection and acceptance of new instruments and equipment, as well
• organize/conduct the acceptance of consumables;
• Involved in operation, maintenance, calibration / verification, performance check, and/or intermediate check of equipment in textile testing lab;
• Finish other tasks assigned by supervisor.

• Training: Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements; Textile Testing training preferred.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiar with textile standards; able to conduct tests for Colour Fastness, Flammability, Fiber Content, and selected tests in the Physical Department.
• Experience: 2–3 years in a textile testing laboratory; experience with Accreditation Body Audits is an advantage.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, accurate typing, and general computer proficiency.
• Language: Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Other Attributes: Strong technical knowledge, analytical mindset, and logical thinking.
