Job summary

UL Solutions in Gurugram, India seeks a proactive Laboratory Engineer to independently manage testing activities per UL, IEC, IS, EN and other standards. You will oversee equipment, data sheets, test plans, and issue technical reports, ensuring on-time delivery and compliance.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation and 3–5 years of hands-on testing experience, with strong knowledge of safety standards, automated test systems, and customer coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or related discipline.
• Experience: 3-5 Years
• Strong knowledge of product safety and compliance testing, IEC/UL/IS standards.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage laboratory testing activities per UL, IEC, IS, EN and other applicable standards.
• Review customer requirements, prepare test data sheets and plans, execute tests, and issue technical reports.
• Own laboratory operations including equipment utilization, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate project schedules and ensure on-time completion of testing programs.
• Maintain ISO/IEC 17025 compliance, laboratory procedures and safety requirements.
• Support accreditation audits, proficiency testing and quality initiatives.

• Independently manage laboratory testing activities as per UL, IEC, IS, EN, and other applicable standards.
• Testing exposure as per IEC 62368, 60601, 61010, IS 13252 and IS 616 is an added advantage.
• Exposure in BIS CRS (Compulsory Registration Scheme) testing
• Review customer requirements, prepare test data sheet and plans, execute tests, and issue technical reports.
• Own laboratory operations including equipment utilization, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate project schedules and ensure on-time completion of testing programs.
• Maintain compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, laboratory procedures, and safety requirements.
• Support accreditation audits, ILC, proficiency testing, and quality initiatives.
• Provide technical support and project updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Drive productivity, quality, utilization and turnaround time improvements.
• Ensure compliance with 5S practices, laboratory housekeeping, visual workplace standards, and EHS requirements.
• Conduct periodic 5S audits and implement corrective actions.
