Job summary

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham invites a Mechanical Engineering graduate to join as a lab technician/engineer. The role involves 2D/3D CAD modelling with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo and hands-on work with analysis tools like ANSYS, Abaqus or COMSOL.

You will assist students in prototyping, robotics and drone projects, manage lab sessions, perform equipment maintenance, ensure safety compliance, and provide technical support to faculty and students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Hands-on CAD modelling with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in engineering analysis software such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or COMSOL.
• Knowledge of 3D printing technologies, including machine operation, slicing software, and post-processing techniques.
• Knowledge of robotics systems, drone design, sensors, actuators, and microcontrollers.
• Ability to assist students in prototyping, product development, robotics, drone, and multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Experience in conducting laboratory sessions, equipment maintenance, safety compliance, and providing technical support to students and faculty.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
