Job summary

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham invites applications for Lab Instructor at Amaravati Campus. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, hands-on CAD modelling across AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, and engineering analysis via ANSYS/Abaqus/COMSOL.

You will support 3D printing, robotics, drone projects, and supervise lab sessions with a focus on safety and student mentoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in 2D and 3D CAD modelling using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in engineering analysis and simulation software (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus, COMSOL, or equivalent).
• Practical knowledge of 3D printing technologies, including machine operation, slicing software, and post-processing techniques.
• Knowledge of robotics systems, drone design, sensors, actuators, and microcontrollers.
• Ability to assist students in prototyping, product development, robotics, drone, and multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Experience in conducting laboratory sessions, equipment maintenance, safety compliance, and providing technical support to students and faculty.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in laboratory activities and ensure proper equipment use.
• Support prototyping and product development projects across robotics and multidisciplinary engineering areas.
• Maintain safety standards, lab organization, and equipment upkeep.
• Provide technical assistance to students and faculty during sessions.
