Qualifications

• MD/DNB in Pathology required.
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on laboratory experience in a multi-specialty hospital.
• Experience with NABL/NABH or regulatory standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day lab operations across biochemistry, hematology, microbiology and pathology.
• Implement QA/QC programs in line with NABL/NABH and local standards.
• Supervise, train, and mentor lab staff; manage duty rosters and evaluations.
• Ensure diagnostic equipment is calibrated, maintained, and serviced.
• Monitor reagent inventories and coordinate procurement with vendors.
• Address technical queries from clinicians and resolve patient grievances.
• Enforce biosafety, infection control, and biomedical waste protocols.

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and dynamic Laboratory Incharge to oversee the daily operations of our hospital pathology and diagnostic laboratory. The ideal candidate will ensure the highest standards of diagnostic accuracy, manage laboratory staff, maintain regulatory compliance, and ensure seamless coordination with clinicians and patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day lab operations across biochemistry, hematology, microbiology, and pathology sections to ensure timely and accurate reporting.


• Quality Control & Compliance: Implement and monitor strict Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) programs in compliance with NABL, NABH, and local regulatory standards.


• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor a team of lab technicians, phlebotomists, and support staff; manage duty rosters and performance evaluations.


• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all diagnostic equipment and analyzers are routinely calibrated, maintained, and serviced to prevent downtime.


• Inventory & Procurement: Monitor reagent, consumable, and kit inventories, and coordinate with vendors for timely procurement while optimizing costs.


• Patient & Clinical Liaison: Address technical queries from doctors and consultants, resolve patient grievances promptly, and ensure a smooth patient experience.


• Safety Protocols: Enforce strict biosafety, infection control, and biomedical waste management protocols across the laboratory.

Education: MD/DNB in Pathology
