Your Role and Responsibilities

Perform troubleshooting and defect analysis of LAN/WAN/ISDN/MPLS/firewall/VPN issues.

Document network problems and resolution for future reference into the Wiki/KB platform of NPCI.

Incident should be close within TAT.

Proactively monitor and ensure network availability, performance and network security.

Log, track and take ownership of network/connectivity issues and resolve issues to ensure uptime and meet the agreed SLA.

Monitor and ensure network device connectivity across DC and MPLS Networks as per the pre-defined SLA.

Working knowledge of common network monitoring tools and network analyzers(ex. Tcpdump, tshark, wireshark etc.)

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

A thorough understanding of the OSI network model, Ethernet, NAT, IP addressing and TCP/IP Network (Skills).

A practical level of experience implementing and administrating TCP/IP-based network.

Hands on experience with Cisco Switches, Cisco Routers, Cables, Racks, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, QoS, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, VPN and MPLS.

Troubleshooting focused on determining network vs Application/System issues and patterned vs. non-repeating problems.

Ability to prioritize and multitask.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
