Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking skilled Kannada QA specialists to oversee trainer performance and ensure high-quality AI training data across projects. You will review AI-generated Kannada content against guidelines, provide precise feedback, and escalate critical issues while coordinating with remote teams.

• Experience in Kannada writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, or related language-review workflows.
• Experience leading remote teams of trainers or QA contributors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality, consistency, and trainer performance across Kannada AI training projects.
• Review AI-generated Kannada content, trainer submissions, and QA work against project-specific guidelines, rubrics, and quality standards
• Evaluate content for accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, punctuation, tone, cultural appropriateness, meaning preservation, instruction-following, formatting, and terminology consistency
• Spot-check Kannada items and identify issues involving mistranslation, literal phrasing, unnatural tone, hallucinated claims, ambiguity, or rubric non-compliance
• Provide precise, actionable written feedback to trainers and QAs to improve language quality, evaluation consistency, and project adherence
• Escalate recurring, critical, or high-impact quality issues and support timely resolution across remote contributor teams
• Communicate new item guidelines, project changes, workflow updates, quality expectations, and Kannada-specific language guidance through Discord and other project channels
• Respond clearly and promptly to trainer and QA questions involving Kannada wording, register, translation fidelity, cultural context, regional variation, formatting, and language edge cases
• Track trainer and QA participation, follow up with inactive contributors, encourage activation, and flag availability issues when needed
• Create, maintain, and update Kannada project documentation, including style guides, FAQs, trackers, quality notes, examples, honeypots, and onboarding materials
• Schedule and conduct onboarding and training sessions covering project workflows, evaluation rubrics, quality standards, and Kannada-specific style requirements
• Ensure trainers and QAs apply Kannada language guidelines consistently as projects, client expectations, and task requirements evolve
• Monitor recurring quality patterns and recommend workflow, documentation, rubric, or training improvements
• Support the development of scalable QA processes for Kannada-language projects through structured feedback, calibration, documentation, and quality monitoring
• Help ensure Kannada AI training data is natural, accurate, culturally appropriate, well-documented, and aligned with client expectations
• Support AI model improvement through quality reviews, trainer coaching, LLM evaluation, response analysis, and structured QA documentation

Requirements

• Native or near-native Kannada proficiency, with strong reading and writing ability required
• Strong English proficiency, with the ability to follow detailed project guidelines, communicate with remote teams, and provide clear written feedback
• Strong working experience in Kannada writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, education, annotation, or related language-review workflows
• Deep understanding of Kannada grammar, spelling conventions, punctuation, tone, register, regional variation, cultural context, and terminology
• Ability to evaluate Kannada content against detailed rubrics and identify mistranslation, literal phrasing, unnatural tone, hallucinated claims, ambiguity, and inconsistent terminology
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QA contributors strongly preferred
• Strong communication, coaching, organization, and quality-management skills
• Experience creating and maintaining style guides, FAQs, trackers, onboarding materials, honeypots, quality notes, and other project documentation preferred
• Comfortable working in fast-moving remote environments using Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project-management systems
• Strong analytical judgment when evaluating AI-generated content, contributor quality, rubric adherence, and recurring workflow gaps
• Previous experience with AI data training, data annotation, large language models, prompt/response evaluation, translation QA, or rubric-based LLM QA strongly preferred
• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, or similar platforms preferred
• Reliable remote-work practices, confidentiality handling, self-direction, and consistency across structured quality workflows required
