Professor (Bharatanatyam) (Group A) Class X passed, and Diploma holder or Post Diploma holder from a recognised institution in the particular field (the full list is below the table) Assistant Professor (Bharatanatyam) holding an analogous post, or 8 years' regular service in Pay Level 16 (Rs.36400 - 115700) of the TN Government State Pay Scales, or an equivalent level (for serving officials)

Essential Qualifications

• (b) Diploma holder or Post Diploma holder from a recognised institution in the particular field
• (c) Should be able to handle final year diploma and post diploma classes, including the theory
• (d) Should be able to take part in Kalakshetra productions
• (e) Able to give a solo performance for about 2 hours
• (f) Should be able to sing and conduct dance programmes by doing nattuvangam

Desirable Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognised university or equivalent
• Knowledge of any of the South Indian languages and Hindi, and ability to write music and dance notations

Age Limit

For appointment on deputation/short term contract, the maximum age limit is not exceeding 50 years on the closing date for receipt of applications, i.e. 23 November 2026.

The post will be filled on deputation/short term contract basis. In the application form, candidates mark their applicant type as either "On Deputation" or "On Short Term Contract." Selection Process

• In the Annexure II certificate, the employer of a serving employee certifies that the applicant's particulars are correct, that no vigilance or disciplinary case is pending or contemplated against the applicant, that the applicant's integrity is certified, that no major/minor penalty has been imposed in the last 10 years, and that the cadre controlling authority has cleared the application.
