Job summary

Mercor invites experienced K-12 education professionals to join as a K-12 Education Expert on a remote contract basis. You will design curricula, manage IEP/504 planning, and review district policies and budgets, collaborating with schools and districts.

The role emphasizes hands-on instruction leadership, use of PowerSchool and Canvas/Google Classroom, and alignment with state standards, MTSS/RTI, and restorative practices. Prior rubric or teacher-training content experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must-have 5+ years teaching, administering, or leading instruction in K-12 education.
• Direct ownership of classroom instruction, IEP/caseloads, curriculum programs, or school/district initiatives.
• Fluency with K-12 education tooling and standards compliance.
• Experience with budgets and family/community engagement is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must-Have 5+ years teaching, administering, or leading instruction at a public or private K-12 school, district office, or state education agency.
• Must-Have Direct ownership of classroom instruction, IEP/special education caseloads, curriculum programs, or school/district-level initiatives.
• Must-Have Fluency in K-12 education tooling and frameworks, plus understanding of how school budgets, state standards compliance, and family/community engagement actually work.
• Preferred Prior rubric, curriculum-writing, or teacher-training content authorship.
