Thomson Reuters Foundation in Bengaluru invites a Junior Salesforce Developer to join the Product and Technology team. You will assist in developing, maintaining and improving our core Salesforce platform, including Apex, Flows, data imports, permissions and Lightning page configuration under the guidance of the Lead Salesforce Developer.

  • Experience creating or updating Salesforce Flows, formulas, validation rules, permission sets, object configuration or Lightning page layouts.
  • Some experience with Apex or another programming language and willingness to grow Salesforce skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product and Technology to translate business needs into Salesforce solutions.
  • Support maintenance of Salesforce Experience Cloud site when required.

We are seeking a Junior Salesforce Developer to join the Product and Technology team. Working closely with, and under the guidance of, our Lead Salesforce Developer, the role will support the development, maintenance and improvement of TRF’s core Salesforce platform, including Apex, triggers, Flows, data imports, permissions, validation rules and Lightning page configuration. The role may also support development of our Salesforce Experience Cloud site, including the TrustLaw Portal.


Key Responsibilities


  • Support the design, build, testing and release of Salesforce improvements across TRF’s core platform, working from user requirements, acceptance criteria and guidance from the Lead Salesforce Developer.

  • Create, update and troubleshoot Salesforce Flows, formulas, validation rules, object configuration, Lightning pages and permission sets.

  • Assist with Apex development, triggers, SOQL queries and debugging, including writing or updating code where appropriate under supervision.

  • Carry out data imports, updates and data quality checks, ensuring data is handled accurately, securely and in line with TRF and Thomson Reuters standards.

  • Support QA, user acceptance testing and release preparation, helping to confirm that changes work as expected and do not negatively affect existing users or processes.

  • Help document technical changes, configuration decisions and user-facing guidance so that Salesforce remains maintainable and understandable for the wider team.

  • Work with Product and Technology colleagues and internal stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into practical Salesforce solutions.

  • Where required, support maintenance and development of TRF’s Salesforce Experience Cloud site, including portal pages, components and member-facing functionality.


Work Mode

Hybrid (2-3 days work from office is mandatory every week). Shift Timing: 10am IST to 7pm IST.


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree is required.

  • At least 2-4 years of relevant experience.

  • Some hands‑on experience with Salesforce administration or development, gained through work, volunteering, study, Trailhead projects, certifications or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience creating or updating Salesforce Flows, formulas, validation rules, permission sets, object configuration or Lightning page layouts.

  • Some experience with Apex or another programming language, and a willingness to keep building Salesforce development skills.

  • Comfort writing basic SOQL queries and working with structured data, including imports, exports, updates and data quality checks.

  • A careful, methodical approach to debugging, QA testing and documenting changes.

  • Good communication skills, with the ability to ask clear questions, explain technical issues simply and work constructively with non‑technical colleagues.

  • A proactive learning mindset and motivation to develop as a Salesforce professional in a mission‑driven, non‑profit organisation.

  • Fluent spoken and written English.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud, including configuring pages, audience access, permissions or member‑facing journeys.

  • Experience with Lightning Web Components, JavaScript, HTML or CSS.

  • Experience setting up or maintaining Salesforce integrations using AppExchange packages, connected apps, REST APIs or external client applications.

  • Experience using GitHub or another version control system, and familiarity with basic development workflows such as branches, pull requests and code review.

  • Awareness of Salesforce deployment tools or approaches, such as change sets, Salesforce CLI, Gearset or similar tools.

  • Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Administrator, Platform App Builder or Platform Developer I, or active progress towards certification.

  • Experience working with CRM data, permissions, data protection or security‑by‑design principles.

  • Experience working in the charity, media, legal, responsible business or international development sectors.
