Job summary

BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus invites applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow in the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems for a DST-NSF sponsored project titled “GameSignAI: Using AI to help deaf children acquire language skills.” The two-year fellowship offers a monthly stipend up to Rs.

37,000 plus 10% HRA, and hostel accommodation subject to availability. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronics

• Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in CS, EEE or ECE are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in mobile app development is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of machine learning is desirable.

Junior Research Fellow position under DST-NSF funded project

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow in the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, Goa for a DST-NSF sponsored research project titled “GameSignAI: Using AI to help deaf children acquire language skills” (DST/INT/USA/NSF-DST/Sougata/P-12/2024 (G)).

Broad area of Research: Human Computer Interaction, Accessibility, Computer Vision, Educational Technology

Duration of the project: 2 years

Number of Positions: Two (2)

Fellowship Amount: Up to Rs. 37,000 + 10% HRA per month based on the candidate’s qualification and experience.

Accommodation: Hostel accommodation will be provided subject to availability and will be governed by the rules and regulations of the Institute prevailing at the time of joining of the candidate.

Qualification: Candidates with Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronics engineering with experience in mobile app development and basic knowledge of machine learning are encouraged to apply.
