Job summary

Kent in Mumbai is seeking a Graduate Engineer – Proposals to support the Proposal Manager in preparing technical and commercial submissions for bids, coordinating with Engineering, Procurement, Estimating, and other departments.

The role is ideal for fresh graduates with 0–2 years’ experience, strong attention to detail, and a passion for proposal management, bidding, and business development in the energy and industrial sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil or related discipline) or MBA (Marketing / Operations)
• 0-2 years of experience in proposals, engineering, project support, or related functions; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong interest in proposal management, bidding, and business development within the energy and industrial sectors.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Good interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work within defined deadlines.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with SharePoint and document management systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the Proposal Manager/Proposals Lead in the preparation and submission of technical and commercial proposals.
• Review ITB documents and assist in identifying key submission requirements.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Estimating, Project Controls, HSE, QA/QC, Finance, and HR for proposal inputs.
• Assist in preparation of proposal deliverables, compliance matrices, bid registers, and submission documentation.
• Support development and formatting of proposal documents, presentations, and client submissions.
• Maintain proposal records, databases, lessons learned, and proposal archives.
• Track bid schedules and assist in ensuring timely completion of proposal activities.
• Assist in preparing clarifications, deviations, and client correspondence during bidding.
• Ensure proposal documentation complies with company procedures, quality requirements, and client instructions.
• Maintain compliance with HSE Management System and IMS requirements.
• Participate in proposal review meetings and provide administrative and coordination support.
• Undertake other duties assigned by Proposal Manager or Department Head in support of Estimating & Proposals.
