The Elite Job is seeking detail-oriented and driven Junior Medical Coders to join our growing healthcare documentation team. This is a remote opportunity ideally suited for recent graduates or individuals looking to launch a career in the medical coding and health information management field.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze patient medical records and clinical documentation.
• Assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on provider documentation and coding guidelines.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of coded information.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to clarify inconsistencies in documentation.
• Adhere to HIPAA and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Support the billing department in ensuring clean claim submission.
• Participate in training sessions and ongoing learning to stay updated with coding changes and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Familiarity with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II coding systems (training will be provided).

Experience

• No prior experience required.
