The ideal candidate should have a good foundation in SQL, data handling, and ETL concepts, and be eager to learn modern tools such as Apache Airflow, Redshift, and Snowflake. This role is ideal for freshers or early-career professionals who want to build expertise in cloud-based ETL and data integration.

Candidate Specification

• 0–2 years of experience in ETL development or data engineering (internship/academic project experience accepted).
• Good understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Basic knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL workflows.
• Familiarity with handling data from flat files, Excel, or APIs is a plus.
• Exposure to any cloud data platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) is an advantage.
• Willingness to learn Apache Airflow, Amazon Redshift, and Snowflake.
• Good problem-solving skills and eagerness to work in a team environment.
• Knowledge of Git or version control systems is a plus.

Roles and Responsibilities

1) ETL Development Support:

• Assist in developing and maintaining ETL pipelines under guidance.
• Write and test SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Help in building reusable ETL components and scripts.

2) Data Integration and Transformation:

• Support integration of data from various sources such as files, APIs, and databases.
• Apply basic data transformation techniques like filtering, cleaning, and validation.

3) Testing and Quality Assurance:

• Perform unit testing of ETL jobs and validate data accuracy.
• Assist in troubleshooting and fixing data-related issues.

4) Monitoring and Maintenance:

• Monitor scheduled ETL jobs and report errors or failures.
• Support the team in job scheduling using Apache Airflow or similar tools.

5) Documentation:

• Maintain clear documentation of ETL processes and data flows.
• Work with senior developers, analysts, and architects to understand business requirements.
• Actively participate in team discussions, reviews, and learning sessions.
