Job summary

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of IT security or system administration experience.
• Basic understanding of endpoint protection technologies (AV, EDR, DLP, disk encryption).
• Familiarity with malware types, phishing and endpoint threats.

Responsibilities

• Monitor endpoint protection dashboards (EDR/AV/patching) and escalate alerts.
• Assist in patch management and signature updates across endpoints.
• Troubleshoot endpoint agents (installation failures, connectivity).
• Support malware investigations by collecting logs and notes.
• Maintain inventory records of endpoints onboarded into security platforms.
• Assist in producing reports on endpoint compliance status.
• Participate in incident response as first-line support, escalate high-severity issues.

Purpose Of Role

To support the Endpoint Security team in monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting endpoint protection platforms across IT and business systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor endpoint protection dashboards (EDR/antivirus/patching tools) and escalate alerts to senior engineers.
• Assist in ensuring timely patch management and signature updates across endpoints
• Perform basic troubleshooting of endpoint agents (installation failures, connectivity issues).
• Support investigation of malware detections by collecting logs and preparing case notes.
• Maintain inventory records of endpoint devices onboarded into security platforms.
• Assist in preparing reports on endpoint compliance status (AV updates, patch posture).
• Participate in incident response activities as first-line support, escalating high-severity issues.

Skills & Knowledge

• Basic understanding of endpoint protection technologies (AV, EDR, DLP, disk encryption).
• Familiarity with malware types, phishing, and common endpoint threats.
• Knowledge of Windows/Linux operating system fundamentals.
• Exposure to SIEM log monitoring or basic scripting (Python/PowerShell) is desirable.
