Job summary

ROCKWOOL International A/S in Chennai is seeking a Senior Purchase Executive to oversee procurement of direct materials for manufacturing. You will source suppliers, negotiate terms, and manage inventory to align with production plans and budgets.

The role requires 8–10 years in manufacturing procurement, expertise in SAP, GST, and import procedures, and strong supplier relationship skills. This is a full-time on-site position within a dynamic rock-wool manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SAP is a must.
• GST & Import procedures knowledge is required.
• Knowledge of SEZ laws is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for raw materials, components, and supplies.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply and resolve issues.
• Prepare and process purchase orders for direct materials based on production requirements and inventory levels.
• Monitor order status and ensure timely delivery to meet production schedules.
