Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in India seeks a dialysis technician to operate haemodialysis machines and provide safe, compassionate treatment to patients with kidney failure. You will set up equipment, prime circuits, and ensure safety checks before each session.

You will label patient lines, prepare dialysis solutions, monitor machines during treatment, and maintain log books and records to ensure compliance and high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Set up haemodialysis machine and operate equipment to provide dialysis treatment for patients with kidney failure
• Attach dialyser and tubing to machine and prime extracorporeal circuits with 0.9% normal saline to prepare machine for use
• Label dialyser and blood lines with patient name and ID prior to first use
• Prepare dialysis solutions and mix bicarbonate according to formula
• Explain dialysis procedure and operation of haemodialysis machine to patient before treatment to allay anxieties
• Connect haemodialysis machine to patient’s access site to initiate dialysis
• Monitor haemodialysis machine for malfunction
• Maintain all log books, forms and registers

Summary of the role:

  • Label dialyser & blood lines with patient name & ID prior to the first use (excluded single use).
  • Preparing dialysis solutions and mixing bicarbonate according to formula
  • Explains dialysis procedure and operation of haemodialysis machine to patient before treatment to allay anxieties.
  • Connects haemodialysis machine to patient’s access site to initiate dialysis.
  • Monitor haemodialysis machine for malfunction.
  • Maintain all the log books, forms & registers.
