Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake hydraulic design and analysis of rural drinking water supply systems, including source‑to‑service delivery infrastructure.
• Develop and review hydraulic models for transmission and distribution networks.
• Determine design flows, pipe diameters, pumping requirements, storage capacities, and pressure zones.
• Carry out surge analysis and recommend appropriate surge protection measures.
• Review designs, drawings, calculations, and contractor submissions to ensure technical compliance.
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical, and pipeline design teams for integrated project delivery.
• Support optimisation of water supply schemes to improve efficiency, reliability, and cost‑effectiveness.
• Participate in design reviews, technical evaluations, and project planning activities.
• Provide technical support during construction, testing, commissioning, and performance verification of water supply systems.
• Prepare hydraulic design reports, technical notes, and project documentation.
