We are seeking a skilled and motivated Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) X++ Developer with 2–4 years of hands-on experience. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain custom solutions within the D365 F&O platform, collaborating with functionalconsultants, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality ERP solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and customize D365 F&O modules using X++ programming language.
- Build and extend forms, reports, classes, tables, data entities, and workflows.
- Develop integrations with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, OData, and Azure Logic Apps.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions.
- Customize and extend standard D365 F&O functionality using extensions (no overlayering).
- Develop and maintain SSRS reports and Power BI integrations.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with functional consultants during unit testing, UAT, and go-live support.
- Write and maintain technical documentation including design specs and deployment guides.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and delivery.
- Ensure code is deployed through LCS and follow proper release management processes.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts (including morning, evening, and night shifts) to support global D365 F&O implementations and provide on-call support across time zones.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O / AX development.
- Proficiency in X++ programming — classes, tables, forms, queries, batch jobs, and data contracts.
- Strong knowledge of D365 F&O architecture, data model, and application framework.
- Experience with extensions and the extension model (event handlers, CoC — Chain of Command).
- Familiarity with Visual Studio 2019/2022 and Azure DevOps for version control.
- Understanding of D365 F&O modules such as Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, or
- Knowledge of data migration tools — DIXF (Data Management Framework) and data
- entities.
- Basic understanding of integration patterns — REST APIs, OData, Azure Service Bus.
- Familiarity with LCS for package deployment and environment management.
Good to Have
- Experience with Azure services — Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus.
- Knowledge of Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) integration with D365.
- Exposure to D365 CE (Customer Engagement) or dual-write configurations.
- Experience with Electronic Reporting (ER) framework.
- Familiarity with ISV solutions built on top of D365 F&O.
