Job summary

Regnology in Pune, India, is hiring a Junior Business Analyst to join the Reg-Reporting Hub. You will analyze international banking regulations and translate them into software specifications for our agile development cycle.

The role requires 2–5 years in banking or IT, a relevant degree (CA/ICWA preferred), and strong SQL, Excel/Access, and communication skills. Experience with Jira/Confluence is a plus. You will collaborate with international colleagues.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in banking, financial institution, or IT in banking domain.
• Education in Finance, Business, IT, Mathematics, Economics or CA/ICWA preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with XML, XBRL, JSON would be a plus.
• Good understanding of Banking Products, Financial Instruments and Markets.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Experience in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments (Jira/Confluence).

Responsibilities

• Analyze regulations and business requirements from national and international banking authorities.
• Translate regulations into functional specifications including data modelling, gap analysis, and mapping.
• Perform functional implementations using SQL for decision tables or allocation rules.
• Create and validate functional scenarios, test data, UAT, and regression testing.
• Maintain end-user documentation and internal technical guides.
• Provide support for customer projects and resolve functional tickets.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and SMEs across global teams.

This techno-functional role involves analyzing international banking regulations and translating them into software solutions and functional specifications.
