Qualifications

Job Summary :

We are seeking a Junior Backend Engineer in AI/ML with 2-3 years of experience in backend development, Python programming, API development, databases, and AI/ML implementation support. The ideal candidate should be strong in logical reasoning, coding fundamentals, and backend implementation. This role requires the ability to write clean code, understand business logic, work with APIs and databases, and support AI/ML deployment and integration requirements.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and application logic using Python and related technologies.
• Support AI/ML model integration, deployment workflows, and backend connectivity for intelligent application features.
• Build and maintain REST APIs, data processing flows, and backend modules for mobile and web applications.
• Work with databases to store, retrieve, process, and manage application data efficiently.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to support API integration and end-to-end feature implementation.
• Understand technical requirements and convert them into working backend logic and implementation.
• Debug application issues, identify root causes, and support timely fixes across backend services.
• Use AI-assisted coding tools responsibly to improve development speed and code quality.
• Participate in sprint planning, technical discussions, code reviews, testing support, and documentation.

Required Skills :

• Strong coding ability in Python.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Java and backend programming concepts.
• Understanding of REST APIs, backend services, data flow, and frontend integration.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis at an application level.
• Basic understanding of AI/ML workflows, model deployment, and integration into backend systems.
• Good logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to understand implementation logic and complete assigned modules with quality.
• Exposure to AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with Git, API testing tools, and backend development workflows.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Data Science, or a related field.
• 2 to 3 years of professional experience in backend development, AI/ML implementation, or related engineering roles.
• Hands‑on experience writing backend code and implementing application logic.
• Experience working with APIs, databases, and integration requirements.
• Ability to understand requirements, reason through logic, and deliver complete working modules.
• Basic understanding of cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Strong willingness to learn AI/ML deployment practices and production engineering standards.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with frontend, QA, product, and senior engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience with FastAPI, Flask, Django, Spring Boot, or similar backend frameworks.
• Exposure to ML model serving, embeddings, LLM integration, or AI workflow automation.
• Basic knowledge of Docker, CI/CD, and cloud deployment workflows.
• Experience working on mobile or web application backend systems.
• Participation in coding assessments, hackathons, or practical project-based development work.
