Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks a Automation Engineer to drive control system design and integration for industrial projects. You will develop PLC logic, craft SCADA/HMI interfaces, and review P&IDs to feed procurement and commissioning teams.

The role requires 2–3 years of hands-on experience in instrumentation and controls, with strong problem-solving and teamwork. On-site work location is in Maharashtra, India, with opportunity to learn Industry 4.0 practices.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical or Control Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in automation projects.
• Basic knowledge of PLC programming.
• Experience with SCADA/HMI systems.
• Instrumentation basics: sensors, transmitters, control valves.
• Proficient reading of drawings in AutoCAD; MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare automation deliverables: PLC I/O List, Instrument Index, Control Philosophy, interlock logic.
• Develop PLC ladder logic / Structured Text.
• Create SCADA/HMI screens with Wonderware, WinCC or Ignition.
• Review P&IDs and PFDs and prepare automation inputs for procurement.
• Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation teams during project execution.
• Support FAT/SAT procedures and commissioning checklists from HO.
• Respond to client/consultant queries and update engineering documents.
• Track progress and prepare weekly project reports.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Design

• Prepare automation deliverables: PLC I/O List, Instrument Index, Control Philosophy, Cause & Effect Diagram, Interlock Logic
• Develop PLC ladder logic / Structured Text
• Create SCADA/HMI screens and graphics using Wonderware, WinCC, Ignition
• Review P&IDs, PFDs and prepare automation inputs for procurement

Project Support

• Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation teams during project execution
• Support FAT/SAT documentation, test procedures and commissioning checklists from HO
• Respond to client/consultant queries and incorporate comments in engineering documents
• Track engineering progress and prepare weekly reports for Project Lead.

Technical & Standards

• Ensure design complies with IEC, ISA, API and client specifications
• Prepare instrument sizing calculations for control valves, flow meters, level transmitters
• Maintain document control and revision records in EDMS

Learning & Development

• Support senior engineers in troubleshooting logic and software issues
• Stay updated on new automation technologies, IIoT and Industry 4.0 practices

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: B.E/B.Tech in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, or Control Engineering
• Experience: 2-3 Years
• Basic knowledge of PLC programming
• SCADA/HMI
• Instrumentation basics: Sensors, Transmitters, Control Valves
• MS Office, AutoCAD for reading drawings
• Good to Have: DCS - Honeywell/Yokogawa, Networking
• Soft Skills: Good communication, willingness to learn, team player, problem-solving attitude

Pay: ₹187,526.29 - ₹946,333.68 per year
